On 7 October 2024, we welcomed students from the German Institute of Rubber Technology and Leibniz Universität Hannover to MARANGONI RETREADING SYSTEMS for a tour of our factory in Henstedt-Ulzburg. After a short company presentation, there was an intensive exchange about sustainability, technology and the advantages of premium retreaded tyres as well as ESG challenges in the supply chains of the rubber industry. During the subsequent factory tour, the students were given a close look at the manufacturing processes for flat strip treads and Ringtreads in particular, as well as discussing the advantages of Ring production in terms of energy use and precision in the manufacturing process, as well as the resulting benefits for the tyre in terms of material use, concentricity, durability and heat build-up. MARANGONI is very pleased with the stimulating exchange and is convinced that the students were able to take away just as many ideas from their excursion as we did. The event was a complete success. ‘It was a great excursion,’ said the participants. It is planned that this excursion will become an integral part of the North Tour.
